Sustain comes from the latin word sustenere which means to hold up endure, support. Something that is sustainable will add to the quality of life and not take away from it. The time is now to become responsible citizens of our earth. We need to understand how our actions affect the environment our environment, which provides the air that we breathe, the water we drink and the fresh whole food that we need for life. The products and chemicals that we use, the cars that we drive or the way we drive, whether we recycle or not, this all affects our environment in one way or another. A good book to read is Silent Spring, by Rachel Carson. This is the book to me that truly defines the environmental movement. On this page you will find links to all things green.
