Managing Stress in Your Life

Are you stressed?

Why is stress such a major health problem in the United States and many other

countries?

One major reason may be change. We are living in a time of constant change. For many people, the ability to cope with

change has not grown as fast as the change itself. We live in a digital society where most interaction is done via computer or cell phone.  Instead of building organic personal relationships we build online contacts, and sometimes never will meet these people face to face, this often carries over to our personal lives.  Instead of communicating effectively we would rather send an e-mail or text message.

Many people find themselves without the skills they need to manage today's

changes and problems effectively. Learning effective stress management skills is

one of the most important aspects of personal health for the 21st Century.

What Is Stress?

Stress is your body's natural way of defending itself from threats. Those threats

may be real or imagined, physical or mental. Whenever you feel threatened, your

body becomes keyed up to fight off or run away from the threat.

Our Certified Stress Management Coach will inspire you to take charge of the stress in your life and will equip you with the tools necessary for success in a life that is constantly bombarded with stress.

Stress is all around us and not all stress is bad stress.  Find out today how you can build your Personal Stress Management Profile and be on your way to a life of peaceful journey, even when you come face to face with stress.

If we provide the body with the right conditions, it will heal itself. The body is a powerful self regenerating organism, having all of the necessary systems to replenish and rejuvenate. It is imperative that we take the time to eat healthy, relax often, and develop healthy relationships which are all contributors to a balanced and complete well-being.

We have the power of choice; how we react to stressful situations, and what counter actions are taken to maintain optimal wellness is our responsibility.  A walk in the park, a picnic with a loved one, a mid-week bubble bath are all methods that will relax you in times of stress and will help you to reflect on the solution rather than focusing on the problem.

In Solution Oriented Situations (S.O.S) always remember:

  • Problems are not exclusive
  • Each situation or stressor in our life has a limited time span
  • Every situation has positive possibilities
  • Use each situation or stressor in life as a learning experience
  • You can control your reaction in adverse situations
  • Faith and hope are the keys to overcoming every obstacle

"A pessimist is one who makes difficulties of his opportunities, and an optimist is

one who makes opportunities of his difficulties."  - Harry Truman

Our Stress Management coaching and  workshops integrate a whole person approach, helping our participants to deal with the effects of stress mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.  For more information on hosting a workshop at your business, church or retreat please contact us  . We can custom design a workshop for your group.  We are available as speakers for your community wellness events as well.

There are nearly as many approaches to dealing with stress and there are stressors.  The most important thing that we must do, is to deal with the chemical and dietary stresses that we place upon ourselves,  these are relatively easy to control.

Everything you do and accomplish every day from the beating of your heart, to the millions of microscopic processes happening in every one of your cells, to walking working and thinking-everything requires energy, and is derived from the food that you eat.
